Secretarial ComplianceThe National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) on July 23, 2026, issued updates for implementation of Section 51A of UAPA, 1967: Updates to UNSC’s 1267/ 1999 ISIL (Da'esh) & Al-Qaida Sanctions List.

The following has been stated: -

•NSDL has informed participants of SEBI's updates regarding amendments to the UNSC 1267/1989 ISIL (Da'esh) & Al-Qaida Sanctions List under Section 51A of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 (UAPA). 

•Participants must ensure that no accounts are opened or maintained for individuals or entities appearing on the updated sanctions lists and must continuously screen all existing and new accounts. 

•They are also required to follow the Central Government's prescribed procedure for implementation of Section 51A, forward any delisting requests to the designated authorities, and regularly monitor SEBI's website for further sanctions list updates.
